Convert CUSIP to ISIN

A CUSIP is a 9-character alphanumeric code which identifies a North American financial security. If you would like to apply for a CUSIP code and need assistance with creating or generating and obtaining a CUSIP number please reach out to us for application assistance by email: isin@isin.org

A CUSIP consists of three parts:

  • A six-character issuer code
  • A two-character issue number
  • A single check digit.

For example: 594918104 (Microsoft)

On this page, you can select a country and enter a CUSIP. If the corresponding ISIN is present in the database, the ISIN will be shown. If it is not present in the database, a correct ISIN will be calculated for you, if possible.
Note that the result can be a non-existing ISIN or other code, since it is being calculated!

Disclaimers:

  • Note that the result can be a non-existing number. Since it is being calculated by an algorithm, even if an number like an ISIN or CUSIP shows up it may not exist - it's just the algorithm showing what could exists.
  • This tool is an algorithm. Just because you enter a code does not mean it is a active number or a created number. Even if an code is generated it does not indicate that the code is active or was created.
